Installing intake manifold studs on a 1996 GMC Sonoma 2.2L is a relatively easy process. The first thing you need to do is remove the old studs from the cylinder head. Once the old studs are removed, you can then install the new studs in their place. Make sure to tighten the new studs down securely so that they don’t come loose.
After the new studs are in place, you can then install the intake manifold onto the cylinder head. Again, make sure to tighten all the bolts down securely. Once the intake manifold is installed, you can then reconnect all the hoses and wiring that were disconnected earlier. Start the engine and check for any leaks.
